堪萨斯国际学院全员会议--聚焦学生发展与国际教育

On October 23, 2024, Kansas International School of Sias University held an all-staff meeting in classroom 15-108. The purpose of this meeting was to mobilize all staff to actively participate in the key work of the school, particularly in areas related to student’s employment, the postgraduate entrance examination and international study. The meeting was co-chaired by Matt Schenk, the Foreign Dean, and Yue Junliang, the Party Branch Secretary and Chinese Dean.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dean Matt Schenk delivered a welcome speech and expressed his gratitude for the teachers' hard work over the past eight weeks. He emphasized the crucial role teachers play in the development of the school and highlighted the importance of maintaining high teaching standards. Subsequently, Dean Matt Schenk shared his unique experiences in cross-cultural work and life between China and the United States. He noted that these valuable experiences not only enriched his personal career but also provided him with a unique perspective on promoting educational exchanges between China and foreign countries. Dean Matt Schenk encouraged the teachers to learn from his experiences and actively support students in participating in international cooperation projects and broaden their horizons and development opportunities.
随后，岳军亮书记对中美1+1硕士联合培养项目的深入解读。该项目已与美国加州浸会大学、富特海斯州立大学及哈町大学等多所海外高校合作。第一年学生们将在必赢nn699net学习基础课程，第二年则前往美国的合作院校继续深造，最终获得美方颁发的硕士学位证书。毕业生可以依据教育部留学服务中心的相关政策申请学位认证。岳书记还特别介绍了合作院校提供的学费减免优惠政策，并强调，教师的支持与鼓励对于激发学生参与此类国际教育项目的兴趣至关重要，希望全体教师能够积极宣传，帮助学生抓住这个宝贵的机会。
Next, Secretary Yue Junliang provided an in-depth explanation of the China- US 1+1 Master‘s Joint Program. This program is in cooperation with several overseas universities, including California Baptist University, Fort Hays State University, and Harding University. In the first year, students will study foundational courses at Sias University, and in the second year, they will proceed to further their studies at a partner institution in the United States, eventually earning a master’s degree certificate from the American institution. Graduates can apply for degree certification according to the relevant policies of the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange. Secretary Yue also introduced tuition reduction policies offered by partner institutions and stressed that teachers' support and encouragement is crucial in motivating students to participate for 1+1 programs. He hoped that all teachers would actively promote the program and help students seize this valuable opportunity.
