富特海斯州立大学代表团访问堪萨斯国际学院,深化中美教育合作



富特海斯州立大学(FHSU)国际化与战略计划助理教务长Jeni McRay和全球事务与国际学生服务运营主管Haley Williams近日远赴中国,对堪萨斯国际学院进行了为期一周的访问。此次访问旨在加强两校间的教育合作,特别是在美方教务系统使用、学生网站建设以及冬季和春季课程安排等方面。

Jeni McRay, Assistant Provost for Internationalization and Strategic Initiatives, and Haley Williams, Director of Operations for Global Affairs and International Student Services at Fort Hays State University (FHSU), recently traveled to China for a week-long visit to Kansas International School. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen educational cooperation between the two institutions, particularly in the use of the U.S. academic system, the development of a student website, and the scheduling of winter and spring classes.

On 28 October 2024, Jeni and Haley arrived at Kansas International School at 8:00 a.m. and had an in-depth discussion with the relevant academic staff on the optimization and use of the US academic system to ensure a seamless interface between the two sides in terms of teaching and learning management. In addition, the two sides also conducted preliminary testing and feedback on the construction of the student website, aiming to provide students with more convenient and abundant ways to search for information.


此次访问的一个重要议题是冬季和春季课程的安排。双方就课程设置、教学资源分配以及学生需求进行了广泛讨论,以确保课程的质量和开设数量可以满足学生的需求。

An important topic of the visit this time was the arrangement of winter and spring courses. Both sides conducted extensive discussions on course setting, the allocation of teaching resources, and students' needs to ensure that the quality and quantity of courses could meet students' demands.

Subsequently, Jeni and Haley also had in-depth conversations with the directors of each department or teaching and research section. They jointly explored the construction of courses for dual-degree students, aiming to promote the depth of course content and the improvement of teaching quality. These discussions not only strengthened the academic connection between the two sides but also provided more learning opportunities and challenges for students.
