按照学校工作要求，4月26日下午，堪萨斯国际学院在15-217多功能会议室召开了2022-2023学年第二学期期中教学师生座谈会，学院领导、教学秘书、年级学业指导专员、教师代表、各年级学生代表参加了此次座谈会。座谈会由各年级学业指导专员主持。

In accordance with the requirements of the university, Kansas International School held a mid-term teaching and learning symposium in the afternoon of April 26 in the multi-functional conference room of 15-217 for teachers and students in the second semester of 2022-2023 academic year. The symposium was hosted by the academic advisors of each grade.

各年级学生就辅修学位、语言关考试、小语种学生英语学习、美方课学习、毕业实习等问题进行了提问，相关负责老师都进行了一一解答，并给出了相应的建议。

The students of each year asked questions about minor degrees, language proficiency exams, English study for minor language students, American class study, graduation internship and other questions, and the teachers in charge answered them all and gave corresponding suggestions.

一年级学生

一年级学生首先要对自己的专业情况有一个全面的了解，结合自己现在的实际情况和将来的就业打算来决定是否要进行辅修学位的学习，英语学习是该阶段的重中之重，在自己英语水平允许的情况下可以进行语言关考试，争取一次性通过。

Freshmen students should first have a comprehensive understanding of their major situation and decide whether they want to pursue a minor degree by taking into account their current situation and future employment plans.English study is the top priority at this stage, and you can take the Language Proficiency Test if your English level allows you to do so and try to pass it in one go.

二年级学生

二年级学生如果还没有通过语言关的，务必在完成日常学习任务的前提下侧重语言关考试的准备工作，最晚通过语言关考试的节点是大二下学期。通过语言关的学生要注意美方课的学习环节，美方课的学习更多是过程性环节，注意任课老师的要求。

If you are a sophomore and have not yet passed the language proficiency exam, it is important that you focus on preparing for the language proficiency exam while completing your daily academic tasks, and the latest time to pass the language proficiency exam is the second semester of your sophomore year. Students who pass the language proficiency test should pay attention to the study sessions of the American classes, which are more of a process session, and pay attention to the requirements of the teacher in charge of the class.

三年级学生

三年级学生更多进入到专业课学习，不管是中方专业课还是美方专业课，都是核心课程，是将来从事相关工作的知识基础，扎实的专业知识基础也为你后期读研深造大有帮助。

The junior year students are more into the professional courses, no matter it is Chinese professional courses or American professional courses, they are the core courses, which are the foundation of knowledge for the future work, and a solid foundation of professional knowledge is also helpful for you to further your study in the future.
