回首过去的一年，母校和广大校友心相系、情相连，始终保持着西亚斯人创新有为、坚韧不拔的精神。年初各地的校友年会上，大家举杯共贺新年，交流行业资讯；6月初的访校日，千余名校友陪同家人孩子回到母校，找寻青春记忆，见证学校发展；10月中旬在北京举行的世界大学校长联合会大会受到校友们的广泛关注，许多校友对我就任主席发来了贺信，使我非常感动。

Looking back on the past year, Sias University and its alumni have remained closely connected, sharing the innovative and resilient spirit that defines the Sias community. At the alumni gatherings at the beginning of the year, we celebrated the New Year together and exchanged industry insights. During the Homecoming Day in early June, more than a thousand alumni returned to campus with their families to relive their youthful memories and witness the university’s development. In mid-October, the triennial meeting of the International Association of University Presidents held in Beijing garnered widespread attention from alumni, and I was deeply moved by the congratulatory messages I received upon assuming the role of chairman.

我们引以为傲的王宁校友与泡泡玛特继续支持学校的教育公益事业与校园文化建设，尚利锋校友和王传利校友连续多年为考入西亚斯的新生发放“贝蒂奖学金”，吴毅飞校友定向捐赠支持西亚斯数字技术产业学院的建设，以及其他许许多多以实际行动帮助学校建设与发展的校友们，虽然我无法列举每一个人的名字，但回报母校之情值得我们分享和感谢！这份深厚的情谊让西亚斯不断焕发生机。有了你们的默默付出和大力支持，学校才能越办越好。

We take immense pride in alumni like Wang Ning along with Popmart, continues to support the university’s educational initiatives and campus culture. Alumni Shang Lifeng and Wang Chuanli have provided the “Betty Scholarship” to new students enrolling at Sias for many years, while Wu Yifei has made targeted donations to support the Digital Technology School. Many other alumni have contributed significantly to the university’s growth and development, though I cannot name them all. These acts of giving back exemplify the deep affection alumni hold for their alma mater, injecting vitality into Sias. It is your selfless dedication and unwavering support that have enabled the university to thrive.

与此同时，我们也清醒地认识到，当前经济发展进入了深度转型期，对许多行业和个人都提出了严峻的挑战。然而挑战与机遇并存，这是每一个时代发展的必然规律。校友们分布在不同行业，若能加强沟通、相互支持，必然能形成更强大的合力，为个人和集体的发展创造更多机会。希望大家能够保持在校期间的行业敏锐性和学习热情，坚定乐观和自信的心态，以更加积极的态度迎接新年的到来。面对压力与挑战，不仅需要强大的内心，更需要健康的体魄作为支撑。希望大家在追求事业成功的同时，也不要忘记陪伴家人、关爱自己。

At the same time, we recognize the significant challenges brought by the current deep economic transformation, which has affected numerous industries and individuals. However, challenges and opportunities go hand in hand, a dynamic inherent to every era of development. As alumni are spread across various industries, fostering communication and mutual support will undoubtedly create a powerful synergy, generating more opportunities for both individual and collective growth. I hope you maintain the industry acumen and passion for learning cultivated during your time at Sias, embracing the New Year with optimism and confidence. Overcoming challenges requires not only inner strength but also a healthy body. I encourage everyone to balance professional pursuits with quality time for family and self-care.

2025年对学校是极其关键重要的一年。我们即将迎来教育部本科教学工作合格评估，这是对学校综合办学实力的一次全面检验，也是我们提升办学水平、优化教学质量的重要契机。为此，学校上下已做了充分准备，从教学计划的完善到师资力量的提升，从硬件设施的改进到管理机制的优化，都力求以最佳状态迎接评估。在此，我呼吁全体校友继续关心和支持学校的教育事业，为我们的教学评估工作贡献自己的力量。无论是专业发展建议，优质教学资源，还是人才推荐，我们都诚挚地欢迎并热切期待。

The year 2025 is pivotal for Sias University. We will undergo the Ministry of Education’s Undergraduate Teaching Qualification Assessment, a comprehensive evaluation of our institutional strength. This assessment is a critical opportunity to enhance our educational standards and teaching quality. The university has thoroughly prepared for this milestone, from refining teaching plans and improving faculty development to upgrading facilities and optimizing management systems. I call on all alumni to continue supporting the university’s educational endeavors and contribute to the evaluation process, whether through professional advice, quality teaching resources, or talent recommendations. We sincerely welcome and eagerly anticipate your involvement.
