8月23日，堪萨斯国际学院党总支副书记刘东伟、外方院长Matt Schenk、中方院长王静及学院全体教职员工召开了2023-2024学年第一次教职工大会，共同探讨新学年的工作重点和发展方向。

On August 23, Liu Dongwei, Vice Secretary of the General Party Branch of Kansas International School, Matt Schenk, Foreign Dean, Wang Jing, Chinese Dean, and all the faculty and staff of the college held the first faculty and staff meeting of the 2023-2024 academic year, to discuss the focus and development direction of the new academic year.

The meeting kicked off with a cheerful opening interactive game, and the warm atmosphere instantly ignited the enthusiasm of the whole room. Immediately after that, Vice Secretary Liu Dongwei and Dean Matt delivered their opening messages, conveying to all faculty and staff the high expectations of the college leadership for the new academic year, as well as acknowledging and thanking the efforts of the past academic year. He also emphasized the integration of civic education with subject knowledge to promote the overall development of students.

随后，会议特别欢迎了新加入的教职工成员，为他们送上了热烈的掌声和祝贺。A special welcome was then given to the new members of the faculty and staff, who were given applause and congratulations.

In addition, the college developed a plan to welcome students back, marking the beginning of the new academic year. The college will be filled with youthful energy and an academic atmosphere, and the return of students will inject new vitality into the entire college.

In addition, college leaders emphasized management priorities for this year's work. Firstly, undergraduate evaluation, graduation rate, English proficiency pass rate, and employment rate were mentioned, which will become the goals and measurements for all the faculty and staff of the college to strive for. Secondly, the college emphasized the concept of student-centered teaching and encouraged the staff to innovate teaching methods to enhance students' learning effect and satisfaction.

随后，各个教研室进行了分组讨论会议，教职工们就各自的专业领域进行交流和研讨，共同制定具体的工作计划和行动方案。

Subsequently, each faculty and research department held a group discussion meeting, in which faculty members exchanged and discussed their respective areas of specialization and worked together to formulate specific work plans and action plans.

通过这次全体教职工大会，堪萨斯国际学院进一步明确了新学年的工作重点，凝聚了师生团结合作的力量，在共同努力下，为学院的发展和教育质量不断提升奠定了坚实的基础。

Through this general meeting of all faculty and staff, Kansas International School has further clarified its work priorities for the new academic year, gathered the strength of unity and cooperation among faculty and students, and laid a solid foundation for the development of the college and the continuous improvement of the quality of education under the joint efforts.
