Sias University vice president Lu Yang visits and investigates the School of International Education
Professor Lu Yang, Provost and Vice President of Sias University, visited and investigated the School of International Education on Thursday, gaining a deep understanding of the School’s development status and engaging in a discussion to further advance international education efforts. This research visit aimed to boost Sias’ internationalization endeavors and enhance the teaching and learning standards of SIE.
The research symposium was held in the conference room of SIE. At the beginning, the host introduced the purpose, significance, and participants. Following this, Lu delivered a speech. She began by sharing her professional background, noting that since the establishment of Sias University, it has always placed high importance on international education, striving to build an internationalized educational environment and platform. She emphasized that as a crucial window for Sias’ internationalization efforts, the School of International Education should leverage its strengths to deepen international cooperation and exchanges, nurturing talents with a global perspective. She expressed her full recognition of the achievements made by the School in education, teaching, and international exchanges in recent years and voiced earnest expectations for its future development. Lu expressed her hope for a joint effort with all faculty and staff members of SIE to provide students with diverse learning experiences and abundant international resources.
Subsequently, Wang Jing, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education, presented a work report, elaborating on both daily operations, key tasks, and innovative breakthroughs. Wang Jing affirmed that with the support of Sias, the School of International Education would continue to intensify reforms and elevate all aspects of its work to new heights.
After the symposium, Lu engaged in cordial exchanges with international students and posed for group photos as a keepsake.
This research visit underscores Sias’ commitment to international education. In the days ahead, the School of International Education will closely align with Sias’ overall development strategy, deepening reforms in international education and teaching, and contributing to the cultivation of more internationally competitive talents.
